Time Has Become Us

Time and time and time again
I wait for the clock to silence and win
I cannot fall down or feel that it's beat
Until I come round to stand on my feet

A day is a day is the same sort of story
That fills us with calm- or tells us to worry
If only that day could come to be followed
By dreams oh so bold we learned what is hollow

Don't man
Won't can't I tell you
It's getting hard to breathe
See love be
Where will I end upamong us
Asking now has become us

An hour can pass with a snapof the fingers
Or focus of mind 'pon that which lingers
To know that a rhythm of heart is the only
That beats out the time of life that is lonely

I can't understand when I hold out my hand
That there is a right and a wrong side to man
They came and read me a book that's so old
Where followers went and lived by its gold

And now in the seconds I try to unwind
Just where a phrase might be left in a rhyme
Without deception or feelings of loss
All that is shiny is coated in gloss
