The time piece stopped on the mantle is gone
We're over that right now
The second hands calling out in alarm
Have been moved on out
And the moments of this that I hold with me
Are no longer something that I believe
The truths that lay behind us shall be

The way to see this is different from you
It's closer from uphigh
When trying to look at another's view
It's hard to see beyond why
And rewriting the laws that we always have known
The old are cast off, their weaknesses shown
There's nowhere to hide all our cover's been blown

The words that I use only limit my mind
You only hear what I say
What once was in front is no longer behind

And beyond all these movements and colors of time
I see something larger that once will be mine
